The 7-Minute Diet
Q: You call your program a “diet,”yet you have no rules, no recipes, no “dietary” restrictions, few weight-loss tips or techniques. The only hint of anything in your program that resembles a conventional diet is your request that participants state a numerical weight goal at the beginning
of a 90-day program. I’m confused. Where is the “diet” part of The 7-Minute Diet
?

A: We wrestled long and hard with choosing the name for our program. At the core, we are really a weight-loss consciousness program, or a food mindfulness program, but those lofty words are far removed from the sheer joy of stepping on a bathroom scale and singing “Yippee!” Most people who commit to our program reduce their weight as the awareness of outdated habits increases. How this happens is a bit of a mystery, even to us. That it happens is dependable and consistent. So, while The 7-Minute Diet might not be what you typically think of as a diet in terms of nuts-and-bolts content, it is a “super-diet” in terms of results. We also provide information, resources and links for you to increase your knowledge of nutrition, exercise, and strength training programs. We might even share some of our favorite recipes in the future!

Q: A friend who has been on The 7-Minute Diet™ [and has lost 15 pounds so far] told me that your program requires a commitment of daily phone calls for 13 weeks, telephone conferences, and so on. I have a busy life and many obligations. I’m not sure if I have the time to devote to your program.

A: First of all, The 7-Minute Diet is conducted entirely over the telephone Monday through Fridays only. The whole program can be done from the convenience of your home and/or your cell phone. No commute, no dressing up, no parking fees. Furthermore, many people report that after a week or two, these 420 seconds of communication, typically in the early mornings, produce a calming, centering effect on the mind and body, similar to meditation or yoga. Once-a-month group calls can unify and inspire. They last less than an hour and bring additional warmth to your life and stability to your health program.
